Catholic Charities of Philadelphia – Saint John’s Hospice
This is a drug- and alcohol- free shelter helping men transition from homelessness to independent living. They provide hot meals daily, offer case management, nursing, showers, clothing, and mail services. The Coffee House also provides a safe resting space, meals, and restrooms for 27 chronically homeless men who typically avoid shelters. They also have their Good Shepherd program at this location, which provides residential services for medically fragile men experiencing homelessness. This program affords the opportunity for men to stabilize their medical condition and develop plans for a permanent housing arrangement.
