Crisp Forensic Counseling

This organization provides mental health and forensic therapy services. Their approach emphasizes comprehensive assessment, family involvement, and close collaboration with the judicial system. They also offer telehealth options for services, and may be able to work with insurances throughout the state. They accept most major insurances in the following counties: Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington, Westmoreland. They accept the following insurances: Aetna, Cigna, HealthChoices, Highmark, Beacon, Optum, Magellan, and UPMC. They also offer private-pay options.

Mental Health Treatment: they provide individual, couples, and family therapy on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. Treatment helps individuals develop awareness and insight into challenging thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Therapists help individuals with stress management, relationship difficulties, and the effects of living with mental health symptoms.

Forensic Treatment: they provide sex offender specific assessment and reports and accountability monitoring through individual and/or group therapy on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. They aim to create safer communities by addressing sexual abuse and assisting with the end of the cycle of exploitation by providing treatment and education, working towards reducing the risk of sexual recidivism while creating healthy members of society.

Evaluations and Assessments: forensic assessments can be conducted on individuals who have been accused, charged, or convicted of a crime. The assessment is an attempt to determine the risk of an individual and make recommendations. Psychosocial assessments can include clinical interviews, risk assessments, ABEL, PCL-R, sexual history, review of judicial documents, and other external documents.

Polygraph Examinations: they partner with a certified polygraph examiner for conducting post-conviction sex offender and domestic violence offender testing. They offer sexual and domestic violence history, instant offense, and monitoring and maintenance examinations. These are generally court ordered examinations.
