They provide prevention and intervention services for child abuse. Their prevention services include out-of-school time (5 days of week during school year and summer for children in Kindergarten – 18 years old), the family center provides parent education and support, and parent education services for parents with children aged 0-18. No referral or fees are required for prevention services. The intervention services include family unification for those at risk of separation, foster, or adoption (referral from CYF required). Further services include parent-teen mediation (free counseling for families with children aged 8-21), and joint planning (services for families with children aged 5-21 and mental health diagnosis). Their treatment options also include counseling, family-based mental health, work with therapy dogs, and therapeutic preschool (children aged 3-5).
