Project HOME

This organization aims to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable everyone to attain their fullest potential as individuals and members of the broader society. They do this through multiple programs.

Housing: supportive, affordable housing offering permanent housing for individuals and families who have been homeless. Most residents come from a safe haven, shelter, or the streets. For a list of their housing locations, visit this link: https://www.projecthome.org/locations.

Adult Education and Employment Program: a free, in person program for all individuals aged 18+. This program empowers those who are low-income or have experienced homelessness to achieve recovery and self-sufficiency. This program offers digital literacy, career skills, and occupation-specific workforce training.

Healthcare Services: high quality, low barrier, and affordable health and wellness care accessible to medically underserved populations in Philadelphia, particularly individuals who have experienced homelessness and low income persons at-risk of homelessness in the Lower North Philadelphia community. Their services include: integrated medical and behavioral health services, reproductive and child healthcare, wellness services, and dental services. They have a wellness center and a Hub of Hope, which both also provide medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorder.
