They can help eligible individuals and families get into housing, and work with them to access needed resources or adequate employment so that they can maintain permanent housing.

Rapid Rehousing: this program is used to help get families quickly out of homeless shelters and into permanent housing. They can assist families with security deposits and first month’s rent. This program also provides case management to assist individuals and families overcome any barriers that prevents the family or individual in remaining permanent housing. Case management will continue for 3-6 months.

Family Services and the Homeless Assistance Program: this program helps individuals in Franklin County who are facing eviction or are currently homeless. In order to receive assistance from HAP, an individual must be under 200% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. The individual or family must also be able to show that they can meet their expenses once we help them. If eligible, HAP can typically help with $400.00 for single adults and $500.00 for families. Families will have to be able to show they have enough additional funding to prevent eviction or to cover the first month’s rent and security deposit.
