The RASE Project

The RASE (Recovery Advocacy Service Empowerment) Project offers a variety of programs, you do not need to reside in the county, you can reside in a surrounding county. They serve all adults (18+) in recovery from substance use disorder or those seeking to begin recovery. They also provide services to justice-involved individuals, including those referred through probation, parole, or treatment courts. There are no insurance requirements or fees associated with most services. Intake requires basic demographic information, recovery history, and proof of residency for certain county-funded programs. They accept Medical Assistance, including PerformCare, though insurance is not required to receive services. Their Recovery Support Program provides one-on-one peer-based recovery support provided by Certified Recovery Specialists. The Warm Hand-Off (WHO) Program is for immediate connection to recovery support for individuals following an overdose or treatment discharge. Their door-to-door (D2D) Program is only in Lancaster County and is a collaborative initiative that helps individuals who are incarcerated and meet specific eligibility crieteria access to treatment and recovery support services as an alternative to additional jail time. Their MARS (Medication-Assisted Recovery Support) provides peer-based recovery support for individuals engaged in MAT (Suboxone, Methadone, or Vivitrol). Their recovery support groups are out of their York and Lancaster offices and provide peer-facilitated recovery meetings that are open to individuls at any stage of recovery. They do provide inpatient referral assistance to support in identifying and coordinating entry into appropriate treatment facilities when a higher level of care is needed. Finally, at the York Office, they have their Recovery Cafe which is a community-based space that provides a welcoming environment for individuals in recovery to connect, build support networks, and access additional resources.
