Titusville Regional Literacy Council
This organization helps adults and families in Titusville and the surrounding region to improve basic skills and break the “cycle of illiteracy.” With this, they provide free adult literacy, family literacy, GED/Diploma classes, virtual instruction, family fun nights, and digital literacy. Their adult literacy offers instruction to improve basic skills like reading, writing, grammar, math, or vocabulary. They also help students prepare for tests like the GED, ASVAB, CNA, or LPN entrance exams, the Driver’s Permit, or even remedial college courses. They also provide instruction to improve English skills for speakers of other languages. They offer small classes, group/pair instruction, or one-on-one tutoring. Their family literacy program allows parents to work on improving their skills while their children are with a childcare provider in the next room. They can also provide education on issues that involve parenting. During parent and child together time, parents and children play, do crafts, or read together. They further offer a digital literacy program for those who need further assistance learning how to navigate their electronics. Services may also be offered virtually.
