
BARC Developmental Services – Warminster Location
This organization provides services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Early Intervention Services: This program provides home and community-based support for children aged 0-3 and their families. This program is for infants and toddlers who are referred by the family’s local base service unit. Services may include, but are not limited to: speech, occupational, and physical therapy; general special instruction; and vision and hearing special instruction. Contact: (215) 794-0800.
Residential Services: for those located in Bucks County and into Montgomery and Lehigh counties, a variety of residential services are offered. Residential supports include: community living arrangement, intermediate care facilities, lifesharing, and unlicensed residential habilitation. They do offer nursing support, but they do not offer in-home 24/hour nursing support. Submit an online referral on their website. Contact: (215) 672-8270.
Vocational Services: they provide vocational assessment, training, work experience, habilitative support, job placement, and retirement activities for adults aged 21 and older. Individuals must also have an intellectual disability / autism. Services are carried out in two modern industrial employment training centers in Warminster and Quakertown. They also provide an Adult Training Facility (ATF) and Disabled Senior Retirement Program (DSRP) at both the Quakertown and Warminster facilities, providing social and recreational activities for individuals who are unable, or no longer want to work, but wish to remain active in a therapeutic day program. The Community Participation Supports Program provides opportunities for individuals to become involved in community inclusive activities of their choice rather than spending the entire day at a facility.
JOBS Program: provides community-based employment services for individuals and businesses in Bucks, Montgomery, Lehigh, and Northampton counties. They match individuals’ skills with employers’ staffing needs. They also assist individuals with financial planning and with the effect of work on current benefits.
