The Goodwill Industries of Northeastern Pennsylvania is located in Scranton and has a variety of programs, mostly for those with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Their community participation supports program provides opportunities and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Individuals will work on daily life skills, employment opportunities, and community inclusion. Transportation may be provided. Small group employment services provide support to individuals on the path to employment. Working beside an ACRE-certified job coach, individuals will gain additional support to develop the skills needed to seek employment. Individuals will earn a paycheck while participating. Transitional services help high school students with intellectual disabilities to ease into adulthood by setting goals and planning for their future after graduation. Must be a high school student with an IEP. To enroll, email kkoza@goodwill.nepa.org or call (570) 383-0081.

Employment services help youth and adults with disabilities and the re-entry population overcome barriers to be successful in competitive integrated employment. Eligability varies, reach out to determine eligability. To enroll, email kchristopher@goodwill.nepa or call (570) 343-1166, ext. 441.

Re-entry program provides comprehensive employment and education services with Lackawanna County speciality courts to identify and present long-term employment goals, develop goal plans, maintain employment/education related compliance within the courts, and learn skills that will support their vocational future despite their criminal justice involvement.
