Women’s Center of Montgomery County

The Women’s Center of Montgomery County is a volunteer-run community organization dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by domestic violence and other forms of abuse. With multiple office locations throughout Montgomery County—including Wyncote, Norristown, Pottstown, Bryn Mawr, Colmar, and hospital-based sites—the Center ensures accessible, community-based support across the region. The phone number listed is their 24-hour hotline, in which you are able to get connected with the best resources for you.

The Center provides comprehensive legal and court advocacy services, including assistance filing Protection From Abuse (PFA) orders, court accompaniment (PFA, district court, and preliminary hearings), legal advocacy and options counseling, court orientation, help with Crime Victim Compensation and restitution filings, SAVIN registration, and immigration-related support for victims.

They also offer counseling and crisis support, including individualized counseling, virtual support groups, crisis intervention, emergency cash assistance, and help locating emergency shelter or temporary housing. Advocates may intervene on a victim’s behalf with employers or creditors.

The organization also supports the Address Confidentiality Program (ACP), which provides a substitute address and confidential mail forwarding service to help survivors keep their location private as part of a broader safety plan.
